.__Acknowledge the fact that our grievances are with the government and not our neighbors. - The battle between left and right must be abolished. We are slaves to this battle by design and by nature. When we allow ourselves to be drawn into such a fight, we are allowing ourselves to be controlled by those who will profit from such a battle. Our task is much larger than who is right or wrong. We are well aware of our rights and where they come from. Fighting liberals will not change any of that. We must take a higher road to freedom and dispense with petty bickering. Shedding labels will do more to unite us than anything else could. We are Americans (not leftists or right-wingers) and we stand for freedom.
.__Acknowledge that our battle for freedom is more important than our pride or impatience. - We are fighting for freedoms that we may not enjoy in our lifetimes. The battle could take decades and most probably will. Do not be swayed by people who claim that this endeavor can be easily attained or fixed quickly. It is that mentality that got us here. Just a little restriction here or there will make everything better…..but of course this is never true.
.__Eliminate television from our lives. - We are constantly bombarded with propaganda through our television sets. The picture of society that is presented through television is the most unreal aspect of American life. What we are presented with is a world that does not resemble reality. Crime and politics are boiled down to the least common denominator, as is every other aspect of life. Encourage your friends to do the same. The argument that you will become "out of touch" is so much hogwash. It is television viewing which keeps us out of touch. Only through personal interaction (personal relationships, correspondence) are we going to win our battle for freedom. Television's only purpose is to advertise a lifestyle, which is incompatible with freedom. And television will affect your worldview no matter how strong your constitution for absorbing propaganda.
.__Take your children out of the government run public schools. - A government that holds a virtual monopoly on education is a very dangerous government indeed. Revisionist history, social experimentation (meant to create young minds open to any suggestion no matter how absurd), and coercion to take psychotropic medications are all elements in today's public schools. Most importantly, we need your children. They will one day inherit the tasks we have been unable to complete. We hope to leave our children with a legacy of liberty. Giving them over to people who only want to prepare them for tyranny is an abomination. Do not sell your children into slavery. If there is no other way for you than public schools, realize that it is incumbent upon you to teach them a respect for liberty and a desire to preserve it. They will never receive this information from government-run school, as it is not in the school's interest to do so.
.__Eliminate all government involvement in your life. - This is easier said than done. Refuse to take part in any government program. Do not accept government money. Do not contract services to the government. This is not about "the other guy." Some people will fill the void that you leave. In other cases, there will simply be a void. This is what we want. Avoid using government healthcare or government controlled healthcare. Seek out alternatives to "modern" health services whenever possible. The more you involve yourself in government, the more government will ultimately control you.
.__Practice civil disobedience whenever possible. Protest. Fight traffic tickets; serve on juries and practice nullification regarding laws you disagree with. Set an example. The more we refuse to obey, and the more others see this example, the more effective we will be at waking up the population. We do have rights. We must exercise them. Ghandi was able to secure independence for India without firing a shot. The politicians and beaurocrats need to be put on notice that they do not make our decisions for us. It is we who are in charge.
.__Grow your own food. - There are two reasons for this. Even just a small backyard garden can supply a decent amount of food. The food supply has been thoroughly tainted due to government involvement in farming and production. Secondly, this will connect you and your family to reality. Everything in our culture is designed to disconnect us from nature and hence reality. If we are involved in our own food production (no matter how small) we are connected with reality. Imagine how disconnected you are from nature when you order a hamburger at any one of the multinational fast-food chains. Processed beef, gassed vegetables, and virtually no indication of how nature (or God if you will) provided that food. Hard to imagine a more disconnected form of consumption.
