SLIPPER SOX

Measure the length of the foot (add a few centimeters for comfort).  In the yarns of choice, weave a square beginning with weaving (pull thru') cast on.(Toe)   Cast off tightly. (Back Seam)

Pull cast on edge as tight as possible and using same thread join the side edges for about 2/3rds.
With main yarn and wrong side facing, pick up as many stitches as possible along both sides of the remaining edges.   (About the same number as cast on for square).

In stocking stitch knit 1/4 of the number of rows required for cuff of slipper.     Create two eyelets in the middle of these stitches, and knit the remainder of rows needed.   Pick up from beginning of stocking stitch band, knit 1 row on loosest tension and cast off round the gate pegs.   Join back seam and ankle band.   Make a cord and thread through band.   Knit another to match.

As an alternative, knit the band in rib.
