Our Church
Church of the Redeemer was established in 1968 as a mission in the University City section of West Philadelphia, initially to reach students, but now encompassing a wide variety of people. As our name implies, we emphasize the redeeming work of Jesus Christ which brings us new life, joy, and hope. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We welcome everyone in the name of Christ Jesus.
Services
Our Sunday morning worship services are at 11:00 AM, with Sunday School for adults and children at 10 AM (September-June).
Our worship on Sunday focuses on the preaching of God's word and on knowing and praising Him. We encourage God's people to come prepared to tell the congregation of the things the Lord is doing in our midst and to pray together for His blessing. During the worship service, a nursery is provided for children up through age 6.
The first Sunday of each month we observe the Lord's Supper as a part of our worship service. Following this service is a fellowship meal.
Beliefs
We hold forth the divinly inspired scriptures as the only rule of faith and practice. We are reformed in docterine, affirming the sovereignty of God in salvation as well as through history. Our system of docterine is found in the Westminister Confession of Faith, the Westminister Larger Catechism, and the Westminister Shorter Catechism.

11/29/2001: Started coding an XSLT(Exstensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) stylesheet, and started this log to test it.
11/28/2001: Got cocoon working, so now I'll be able to redo the page in xml/xslt, which will make the page easier to maintain and allow me to change it's styling much more easily.
