| One of
the greatest games on the Snes and
definatly one of the best of all time.
Only the third game to reach our shores
it completely wiped out on both fronts.
Never before had a Snes game had such a
gripping cinematic storyline, wonderfully
animated towns and characters, an awe
inspiring 3D overworld and one of the
best RPG engines in the business. This
launched the already successful FF series
to new heights State side and also
signalled the literally Final Fantasy for
a Nintendo system.
In this
world technology reined and Magi had been
wiped out in a war and long
forgotten....by most. A Girl was born
with magic and the evil emporer has been
using her for his wicked plans. She
escapes and joins the returners who are
fighting against the empire. And then add
fifty twists such as a psycho General
kefka, renegade King and a little white
fluffy animal and you get one great
storyline.
The battle
system is the Final Fantasy standerd,
timers tell you when you can pick a move
for your character, you learn moves
through items, after each battle you get
EXP points the more exp the more you
level up etc etc. (Your at an RPG
website, if you don't know the drill by
now you never will). But one thing which
sticks out about this game is it's
longetivity.
Obviously
aimed at the older demographic this game
is massive. With countless bosses and
adversaries, huge towns to explore , a
dozen characters and hundreds of secrets
it is highly unlikely anyone could finish
with a perfect game. It'll take you
months of serious gameplay to complete
and you'll love every single second of
it.
This game
is marvelous , no doubt about it, it's
creepy , spookey and much more. Sometimes
it'll make you think sometimes it'll
disturb you , and if you have the
fantastic FF Anthology for the PSX the
better for you are treated to some
marvelous FMV's (like that in our
screenshot).
If your an
RPG fan you must own this game.
