Studios' 3D RPG has been officially
canceled.
Interplay has given the official word
that Black Isle Studios' LithTech-powered
RPG, Torn, has been canceled and that
five members of the Black Isle Studios
development team have been let go.
Remaining Black Isle Studios employees
are now working on other internal
projects.
Despite
the fact it has been coming for a while
many will no doubt be reeling in shock at
this announcement. This game was highly
aniticpated mainly for the LithTech
engine which was no doubt going to be
great. However after weeks of
speculation, the letting go of employee's
and rumours it seems that it's all been
somewhat anti climactic. With other major
games such as Raven Blade been cancelled
and others like Wizardry 9 being stuck in
development hell it makes you
wonder at exactly what state the RPG
scene is in.
