1972 Yankee 30 Hull #59 "Renegade" - $18,500 REDUCED TO $15,500
I have a Yankee 30 for sale which would be an excellent candidate for
engineless sailing. The price is $15,500. This price takes into account
that the engine is almost worthless."Renegade" is the boat on the
cover of "Sailing" magazine, August ' 75. This is a Mk II, 8,400 lbs. with the
middle height mast. Super nice handling, well
balanced. Originally set up as a race boat, this boat has two sets of
winches, headfoil, Seven headsails including a storm jib. New Sailrite
mainsail this summer. New bottom paint in August. Wheel steering.
This boat is not shiny, but in good sailing condition since it is sailed
often. Interior is nice. Pressurized alcohol stove, solid fuel heat
stove. Atomic 4 rebuilt in ' 97. Currently having head gasket
trouble, hopefully to be resolved soon.

1972 Yanke 30 - Hull #60 - "September Song" - $15,000 Reduced to $8,000
My wife and I bought her in '99 and spent hundreds and hundreds of
hours getting her into the shape that she is in today. We have used her
off and on and two years ago we started our business and had our first
daughter and bought a house. Our Yankee got the last seat aand we have
had no time in the last two years to use or work on her. In '06
hurricane Wilma managed to break her mast, break one stanchion and tear
the bimini. She has not been used in the last two years and is going
backwards, hence my willingness to sell her. Due to her sitting so
long, the engine was not running to my liking and I loosened everything
up to remove it, and it is still in that condition. She is being sold
as is with no mast and a non-running motor.
I can load her onto a lowloader for you if you want her
trucked somewhere.
I cannot do any work to her for you as we are so busy in our business.
She is the perfect boat for a small family or couple and is one of
the best 'handling' and performance sailboats that I have sailed.
It is sad that we are letting her go, but it would be a tradgedy to see
her detiorirate further. Located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. See
Yachtworld listing for photos and more details. Call Kent Grimbeek at 954-445-5931.
