    Heavy Weather

Tony Rodriguez, Yankee 30 "Enigma", San Francisco, California

One of my worst rough weather experiences was in SF Bay. Coming from the Oakland side of the Bay Bridge to the head of Treasure Island in 30 knots of wind on an ebb tide. Combine this oppossing tide/wind with being overtaken by 2 tugboats, Full main and an 80% jib...Yahooo!! It was a REALLY wet ride with the waves and wakes breaking over the the bow and toe rail. A dodger would have been REAL nice at that point in time. Of course the boat was just laughing as we slid down the huge waves and wakes.
