Message: My father's cousin was at HMS Gosling during WWII.
All the information I have on him is:
Sancto A. M.
FX 685860 AM/L
Camp 1
HMS Gosling
Warrington Lancs.
Known in the family as Tony Sancto, he died a few years ago.
I would like to find out more about him and about his war service. Are you able to help me?

Message: I was at several of the HMS Gosling camps at Warrington in 1945. First about April, before I was posted to RAF Hednesford for training as an Air Mechanic (A). Then again later that year after finishing the course at Hednesford. I was at one of the Goslings on VE night, walking around the perimiter with a rifle & bayonet on guard duty!
As I remember it there were four Goslings at Warrington, and I was told there was another in Australia. I did my sqaure bashing training at one, the others varied as holding camps and one I was at had officers under punishment. Everyone was Fleet Air Arm as I remember except for camp staff.
