The PTA would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new school year. We look forward to working with you to make this a very successful year for our children.


We invite you to join the PTA and hope you will volunteer your time and talents by participating in the many school activities planned throughout the year. Taking part in the PTA is an excellent opportunity to show your interest in your child's education.


To join the PTA, simply complete the membership application (for downloadable copy CLICK HERE. This document is a Microsoft Word Document.) and return it to the school office. The dues are $ 5.00 per family. As a member you will receive a monthly newsletter that will contain a school calendar and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade news mailed directly to your home. Please make all checks payable to NP Trist PTA.

Volunteer Opportunities


Beautification Committee
We need your help with school improvement projects to beautify our school, such as gardening, painting, woodworking projects and other odd jobs.

Tutoring Committee
You can make a real difference in a child's life by tutoring him/her for a week. No experience necessary.

General
We are always in need of volunteers to help with the Christmas Store, fund raising, chaperoning dances, making phone calls, and assisting with a variety of other tasks. We are also interested in anyone with special skills that you might share....
musical/art talent, typing, computers, sewing, etc.
Room Mother/Parents
As a Room Parent, you have an opportunity to be involved in your child's class. Room Parent duties may include making phone calls, making copies, helping with the Christmas Party, and with other special events.

Volunteer Executive Board As a member of the Volunteer Executive Board you have the opportunity to help organize and give input on upcoming events, be involved in the planning of fund raisers and have many opportunities to be a volunteer.

Newsletter Committee
We are looking for people to help us put together the newsletter every month. The duties include sorting, labeling, and mailing newsletters one day per month.
