Author: Maeve

Spoilers: Nothing

Disclaimer: Aaron Sorkin, WB and NBC. I’m just playing with them for a bit.

Relationship: Toby and CJ

AN: Mainly, I was just tired of this cluttering up my fanfic folder and decided to cut it short. Also the first CJ/Toby shipper fic I’ve posted.

She was seductive, without knowing it. Warm as she laughed to the room, her eyes flickering over the press. Her familiar laugh tripping across the press corps, her eyes dancing with the smile. Her long fingers tripped from the mic to the podium to the papers and her throat.

He loved those fingers…knew them well by experience. He knew the way they bent when she teased him, pointing softly in mild bewitchment. How much pressure they pushed on his skin, how hard they clung to him.

She had seductive hands.

Her eyes caught his, flickering in humor across the room. He watched her smirk mildly in bemusement, her cheeks flushing a little. Toby sighed, biting his lip slightly impatiently. She was supposed to have been done a half-hour before, but she had the habit of working the crowd. She was a stand up...a class act.

"All right kids, let’s close shop." She waved at the press, a smile still warm on her lips.

He liked those lips…a lot.

Toby stayed in one place as the media mass moved out the double doors, chattering softly about nothing in particular. He really wasn’t paying attention to them.

He only had eyes for her.

Wasn’t that a song?

"Tobus dear," she grinned, "You’re jaws broken."

She tapped his chin, pushing his mouth back closed. Toby offered a shy glance, licking his bottom lip carefully. His eyes lifted to meet hers, and he found a mischievous glitter.

"What?" he asked suspiciously.

"Nothing."

He blinked, "You’re plotting something."

"Mmmm," she nodded, "The take-over of the world."

"Neh," he moved to the door, CJ at his side, "that’s Leo’s job."

She laughed softly, the sound ringing straight up his back. He usually didn’t have this problem. Physical reactions weren’t normal…until he’d spent the night with her. He’d not felt her laughter, nor heard her smile, until he’d touched everything she’d offered. Suddenly, every tone and timbre of her voice shivered across his spine. Every breath she took seemed to match his, and every rushing sigh fell along side his own. Her hands were elegant and dangerous. Dangerous in that they could force him to do anything she wanted. Her eyes could melt him inside a minute and a half.

He was head over heels.

And he was hating it.

He was loving it.

He felt her arch hard against his mattress, her long logs stretching tight against the black cotton sheets. Toby moved his hand, letting it slip up along her side, wringing a softened sigh from her lips.

"You’re such a tease." She murmured.

"Excuse me?" he grinned, pushing his mouth against her ear, tugging her back against his chest.

CJ sighed again, "You stand at the back of the room, teasing me."

Toby snorted softly, "How?"

"You chew on your lip and just stand there, staring at me with those…god damn seductive eyes." She explained, snuggling back to him, a soft chuckle on her lips. Toby let his hand stroke over her side, running teasing fingers over her side, hitting the ticklish spot he’d found earlier that evening.

"I’m seductive?" he murmured in mild humor, "You tease me constantly."

"Do not." She tossed back, stroking her fingers against his, tugging his arm to drape over her waist.

He pressed a warm kiss into her hair; "You do that thing in the senior staff all the time."

"That thing?" she laughed into her answer and it shivered up his back.

Toby pouted mildly, "Yes, you do a thing."

She tossed back a smirk, "What thing?"

He sighed, pulling her to roll into his arms. She faced him easily, her hands skidding over his chest, her head tucked against him.

"The come hither thing with your eyes. And you bat your eyelashes and just…smirk." He ground out, "and don’t tell me you don’t."

She giggled, "Okay I do that on purpose."

"See!" he demanded, tugging her closer, and laugh on his lips.

"But only because you love it." She remarked with a grin.

Toby smiled wide, "Too true."

How very true.
