Digital5 Inc, Lawrenceville, NJ.  Technical Lead.

Tech Lead for Digital5 server-side middleware, encompassing Windows server shipped with network-enabled CE devices, embedded Linux servers on several NAS platforms, and cross-platform SDKs.   Responsible for deliverables as well as architectural and technical decisions.  Coordinate and oversee several teams of engineers located in the US, India, Japan, and Russia.  Represent the company and its products at DLNA interoperability events held around the world.  Coordinate schedules and deliveries with company technology partners.   Retained responsibility for earlier core technical competencies.

e-Vue Inc., Iselin, NJ. Senior Software Engineer.
Lead MPEG-4 Applications group, responsible for schedule, design, architecture, and implementation of MPEG-4 standard audio/video authoring tool, player and reusable components. Created DirectShow source, parser, and transform filters to enable MP4 playback within Windows Media Player. Created XCOM plugin architecture, a lightweight cross-platform COM surrogate to form the basis of our application architecture. Created MPEG-4 plugins for RealPlayer G2 to allow for streaming of MP4 content over Real Networks systems.

C|Net -- The Computer Network, Bridgewater, NJ. Senior Software Engineer.
Created several Windows client-side internet products. Wrote a MAPI DLL shipping with Snap-branded IE5 that sets web-based email.com to the default mail client; created a Java-based three-tier harvester monitoring application. Created desktop utilities for the snap.com internet startup kit CD. Co-authored the Snap! Online IE4 channel in DHTML. Created an ActiveX menu control that includes PNG rendering (visit my sample page).

Dialogic Corp., Parsippany, NJ. Software Engineer.
Created applications and utilities for Dialogic telephony products (e.g. PBXpert). Added new features to system software and SDK. Created a simplified board configuration utility to integrate with Windows' Device Manager. Created sample applications for SDK (e.g. SC-BUS fax demo) and industry tradeshows (e.g. unified voice/fax messaging in Exchange). Platforms included Windows 95 and Windows NT (x86 and AXP), tools included MFC & Visual C++ 4.x.

Jersey Cow Software Co., Franklin Park, NJ. Software Engineer.
Developed shrink-wrapped multimedia educational titles including Kaplan Roadtrip '96 and Who is Oscar Lake?. Highlight components include an RTF rendering engine, advanced GDI rendering, a game network engine and a common utilities DLL.

3/93 - 1/95

United Parcel Service, Mahwah, NJ. Software Engineer.
Created message queue infrastructure to link OS/2 workstations to other OS/2 Workstations, other IBM platforms, and Novell Netware servers. Created various OS/2 Presentation Manager utilities. Created second-generation message queue system with Novell Netware NLMs and DOS clients. Protocols included APPC and IPX, platforms included OS/2 2.x, Netware 3.x, and MS-DOS.
