The Mildura & District Genealogical Society Inc. in conjunction with VAFHO will be hosting the 5th Victorian Family History State Conference "Settlers in the sun", to be held at St Joseph's College, Mildura on Friday 16th - Sunday 18th April, 2004.

This conference is hosted by the Mildura & District Genealogical Society Inc. under the auspices of VAFHO. It will be an exciting, informative, low-cost conference where you will have the opportunity to attend workshops and a variety of sessions conducted by 25 guest speakers covering a broad range of topics encompassing everything from how to trace your ancestry, using internet resources, WWI & WWII records, colonial links, immigration records, celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Cobb & Co coaches, and more. The conference keynote speaker is Jan Gow, one of New Zealand's most experienced professional genealogists. They have a selection of pre-conference workshops that will be conducted on Friday 16th April.

The Orange & District Historical Society will be holding their annual GARAGE SALE on SATURDAY 18/10/03 from 8.AM at their rooms 148 March St (entrance from Library Car-park). A variety of goods will be for sale, all donated by members.
Ross Maroney will be present between 10-11 AM to sign copies of his latest book
" An Historian's Sketchbook of Orange" (launched 16 September.)
(Books available at the Library and in bookshops)Come and have a look and help us raise funds to preserve the History of Orange & District
