PROJECT: Far East Gippsland Pioneers' Register

The Lakes Entrance Family History Society Inc., Victoria, has launched a project to collect as much information as possible about the pioneer families of Far East Gippsland and preserve it for future generations.

Far East Gippsland is that part of Gippsland extending from the Nicholson River to Mallacoota and north from Dinner Plains to the NSW border. Information is being sought from anyone whose families settles or lived at any stage in Far East Gippsland prior to 1920.

Descendants of Far East Gippsland pioneer families are asked to assist with this project by providing information about their families on a Family Record Sheet.
