22/09/2003 Entry: "NEW PROJECT: Blue Mountains Pre 1920 Pioneer Register"
The Blue Mountains Family History Society Inc. has announced that they have begun compiling a Pioneer Register of the Blue Mountains to 1920.
They aim to have the publication completed in time for the NSW & ACT Conference at Blackheath in September 2004.
Closing date for registrations is 29th March 2004.
People living or working in the Blue Mountains up to 1920 are elgible to be included.
The present names of the areas are Blackheath, Blaxland, Bullaburra, Echo Point, Faulconbridge, Glenbrook, Hawkesbury Heights, Hazlebrook, Katoomba, Lapstone, Lawson, Leura, Linden, Medlow Bath, Megalong, Megalong Valley, Mount Irvine, Mount Wilson, Mount Victoria, Shipley, Springwood, Sun Valley, Valley Heights, Warrimoo, Wentworth Falls, Winmalee (formerly North Springwood), Yellow Rock, Yarramindi,and Yosemite.
The Pioneer Register form is available for download from the society’s website and by post to PO Box 97, Springwood 2777.
