19/09/2003 Entry: "Hawkesbury Cemeteries Now Online"
Selected cemeteries in the Hawkesbury Region are now available online. The Hawkesbury Cemetery Register (http://www.hawkesbury.net.au/cemetery/) hosted by Hawkesbury on the Net Directory, currently hosts transcriptions and photographs of headstones for cemeteries located at:
Kurrajong Heights, St David's Cemetery
Kurrajong Heights, St James Cemetery
Maroota, Lone Grave of McFarland
Sackville Reach, St Thomas Cemetery
St Albans, Bailey's Family Cemetery at "The Glen"
Upper Colo, Upper Colo Cemetery
Wisemans Ferry, Lone Grave of unknown
Jonathan Auld, an active member of the Cemetery Register Team says that "As more cemeteries in the Hawkesbury are transcribed and photographed, they will be added to the site."
Each cemetery has a map which shows the row numbers, location in relation to roads, building etc, and individual photographs of each headstone. There is also a transcription of the headstone.
