05/04/2003 Entry: "PROJECT: Wagga Wagga and District Pioneer Register"
The Wagga Wagga and District Family History Society Inc., are undertaking a new project to compile a database of pioneers who lived in, and contributed to, the Wagga Wagga community prior to Federation. According to the Society, the first edition of the Pioneer Register will be published towards the end of 2003 and will be available to family historians, local historians and members of the community with particular interests, such as tourism, local government, etc.
Contributor forms are also available from Wagga Wagga and District Family History Society members, or from Gary Croker, Pioneer Register Project Co-ordinator, WW&DFHS Inc., PO Box 307, Wagga Wagga 2650. The closing date for submissions is 30 September 2003, but the Committee would appreciate submission of completed forms as soon as possible.
