PROJECT: Cowra [NSW] Community Heritage Study

Do you have ancestors / or living relatives who were involved in any way with the pastoral settlement, agricultural or commercial development of the Cowra region of NSW? Perhaps you had relatives who were involved with the Cowra POW Camp? Whatever your connection, it is important to a recently implemented project.

Cowra Shire Council with the support of the Heritage Council of NSW is conducting a comprehensive Community Based Heritage Study for the whole of Cowra Shire.

The cultural landscape history and heritage study will not only include the town of Cowra, but also the villages of Gooloogong, Darby's Falls, Holmwood, Milburn Creek, Morongla Creek, Mt. McDonald, Noonbinna, Walli, Wattamondra and the gold mining village of Wood's Flat ...and everywhere in between!

If you have Cowra connections, great or small, would you be interested in sharing details of your family's heritage for inclusion in the study?

All contributions will be acknowledged and with your interest the study will become a valued historical reference for future generations.

If you have any questions or would be interested in providing somedetails of your connections with Cowra Shire, I would be most pleased to hear from you. My address and telephone numbers are provided below, or you can e-mail me at:

Kind regards,
Jen
