New England Pioneer Register Update
The latest news on the Pioneer Register is that the work of data entry is progressing slowly but surely. As almost 1,300 entries were received the task is immense and we thank the volunteers who are undertaking this work on our behalf.
It is pleasing to see entries for pioneers who lived in every part of New England prior to Federation and to find that so many of them are women.
It is not anticipated that the book will be published before Christmas 2001 but anyone interested in obtaining a pre-publication order form (who hasn't already done so), should send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to our secretary at
P.O. Box 1378, Armidale NSW 2350 Australia - marked 'Order form'.
Overseas readers unable to send a SSAE should enclose an addressed envelope marked 'Order form' and an international reply coupon.
