FOOTBALL 419 - Boy Scouts of Nigeria (featuring "The Chief")

Dear Sir

I'm not sure how you came about my email address but I am not in a position to help you with this particular offer.

I am normally associated with assistance, donations and good will to sporting teams in need and I guess that is how you came by my contact details on the internet.

I hope you find assistance in your endeavours, or indeed if you did represent a sporting club and I misunderstood the request please feel free to come back to me.

Regards,

ARSE CLOWNS FOOTBALL CLUB

From this seed sent out to many mugus...

Out from the mugu ether one day popped Dr Jerome Akpeji claiming to represent the Boy Scouts of Nigeria. They were requesting money from Arse Clowns FC to start a new football team for the scouts.

Naturally I was happy to oblige.

Sadly I've lost the early correspondence, but it included approving his application, and his providing of an initial photo of some of his players (which I didn't really ask for).

Some of his players. Nice to see him exploiting children for his dirty work.

We pick up where he's sent his "team photo" in and I'm about to reject it.

Dear Mr. Wayne Kerr,

Please find the attached scanned photo of the team
which I promised to send to you today.

Thanking you for your co-operation.

Yours in Scouting,
Dr. Jerome Akpeji.
National Sports Commissioner.

Sir

Thank you for the photo of your new team - you must
be very excited at the prospects ahead of you.

However I must give you some bad news regarding the
photo you sent to us.

I explained last week that we required ALL players
in the photo to be holding the sign of our club -
but you only had one player doing as such.

I am sure in our initial talking I relayed this fact
to you but it seems to have gone missing.

It is very important that you retake the photo and
have ALL players holding the sign. And the directors
would also wish to see the director and the coach of
the club in this photo.

I hope you can undertake this procedure to the
benefit of yourself.

Sincerely,
Wayne Kerr

Not only did I want ALL players holding the sign, but in particular it has come to my attention that Jerome Akpeji is a name sometimes used by "The Chief" for his scams.

The Chief is a well known lad who appears several times in the Trophy Room at www.419eater.com

A Previous Chief bait. Click image for full view. The text on the sign is the name of my band's ep - we might use this for the cover.

A Previous Chief bait. Click image for full view.

By requesting the coach and director appear in the photo I'm hoping to capture The Chief in a multi-mugu shot.

Team A is the Senior Team while Team B is the Junior
Team which we know will impress the Directors.

The 3 Adults are the back are the National Sports
Commissioner and the Junior and Senior Coaches of the
Team.

Thanking you sincerely for your very kind approval.

Yes, we have found The Chief! He's done good with the photos, but the scans are a bit smaller than I would like.

Dear Sir

Thank you very much. The photos are just what we
wanted and we are very impressed with your teams.

Just one small problem, we did ask for a large scan
of the photos. Do you think you could please scan
these at a larger pixel ratio? The directors have
asked this of me.

I am sure once this is done the handing over of the
donation will be a mere formality.

Thanks again,
Wayne Kerr.

Naturally I'm delighted with the photos, but rather than arrange some fake payment details just yet I thought I'd try arrange a friendly game against another "football team", named Virtue United,  which I've baited around the same time.

Dear Sir

The donation procedure is nearly complete, but we
have a proposition for you we hope you will like the
sound of.

We recently provided a donation to another football
club in your country, the club in question being
Virtue United.

In any event the directors here were hoping that
your two teams could play against each other. They
are willing to offer another 8,000 for each team
if you do this.

The PR from this exercise would be of great value to
us so we hope you will comply. All we ask of you in
doing this is to record the event with a few
photographs of the game and a combined teams photo
holding the Arse Clown sign I have previously
provided you with.

What do you think?

Regards,
Wayne Kerr.

The Scouts have agreed to the friendly game to
celebrate international friendship and your both
joining the Mascot Program.

I have not heard from you for some time so I am

against the Scouts (or Arse Clowns FC as they honour
us by sharing our name).

Dear Jerome

I am sorry for taking my time to get back to you.

The directors have been deep in thought over this issue for a number of
days now. They have debated over and over about the worth of providing
these donations.

We used to think it was a good exercise but now we are starting to doubt
 it.

This club has tried to help a number of people in Africa now and we just
 keep getting ripped off.

In the end though the directors decided they would still provide you
with a donation.

I was all set to wire the money through Western Union and forget about
our agents on the ground when I received the attached warning via a
colleague.

Please explain this to me sir - the man in this warning photo appears in
your team photo. How is this possible?

They look like the sam man to me.

And I will quote from your email sent on Friday 14 May -

"The 3 Adults are the back are the National Sports

Therefore this man must be connected to your club.
