This lad came out of the blue boasting about what a good player he was and how he desrved a trial at my club.
In short he was after a work visa.
We pick up the thread where we are working through his application letter. He was not happy with my initial draft (not surprising really) and is telling me how to do it.

I really appreciate all your support on me,thanks for that may God reward you in all your effort Amen.Well,i went through the attachment that you sent to me.i acknowledge the content very well is very good but i was told that an invitation letter mailing is not be allowed.Except Fax or courier service are allowed here in your consulate embassy and more so i will like you to address the letter very well to me and include it with back-up letter written in your language.
For example:
I Mr Mayne Kerr is inviting Master Mumuni Mudashiru Badmus to your football club over there which the name of the club is Arse Crowns Football Club,We are glad to offer you a week trial,for the period of one week we be invited to be training with the squad everyday and you we experience how we prepared our players in all aspect and skills,fitness,and diet.we will be very grateful if visa can be granted to this bearer which name is above.and his passport number is A1877537.

I've lost some correspondence, but in short I finally convinced him a fax wasn't necessary. Then I asked him for the 'required' photo - him holding my club's logo.

It's a shame I didn't keep the photos he previously sent me as it does appear to be the same person.
From this point I accepted his photo and told him the application had been sent in. I then had a tragic car accident and lost my life and informed him of this fact via a co-worker. He never replied and I thought he had twigged and the bait was over.
But then over a month later he sends an email to the original address.
