| I was imprisoned
in a cell measuring 10 X 5 metres with a small windows consist of two (2)
immoveable louvers and metal bars. There was lack of air constantly in the
cell and the ventilation was bad. I had to sleep on the floor with my nose
close to the cell door in order to breathe properly. I was subjected to
systematic tortures. Prison Guards blew smoke into my cell and as a result
of that I suffered suffocation. The condition of the cell was like an oven
during the day as the suns heats one wall and heat was transferred in. I
was fed with rotten and maggot-ridden food, which resulted food poisoning
and diarrhea and was not allowed for medical attention.
I was interrogated at all times of day and night, especially during 12 midnights to morning and was put in cold room without any clothes and in underpants at all time. I was repeatedly threatened if I did not answer questions to their liking and violence in the form of punches all over my face and body was done to me. I was forced to make false confession that I am an American CIA spy -, which I refused. On divers occasions, the Prison Guards refused to open the cell door to allow me to perform my toilet in spite of banging on the cell door and screaming. As a result of this I had perform my toilet inside my cell. I was a few times admitted at the local Hospital for hypertension aggravated by the poor condition in the cell and tortures by the guards. I was informed that I will be imprisoned for a period of 20-30 years and decided to escape in order to convey my wrongful imprisonment to His Majesty The Sultan. I climbed the prison wall and escaped. I was re-arrested and during this I sustained spinal injuries. Despite being injured and in great pain, I was tortured by the Police by refusing immediate medical treatment, one senior Police Officer stamped his foot many times onto my stomach and repeatedly kicked me and I was permitted to lie on the cold floor of my cell and was in great pain for almost five (5) hours before being sent to the Hospital and was hospitalised for one (1) month. I was not able to perform my toilet and urine and my stomach was bloated. Contrary to the Doctor's advice that I was not in fit physical condition to effect another escape, I was made to suffer the indignity of being handcuffed both feet and hands. |
