Dear NRA:

    Having just received your renewal solicitation letter, NOW is a good time to CUT ALL my TIES with the FREEDOM-COMPROMISING NRA! God-given Rights and Freedoms CANNOT be compromised! In recent years, the NRA has shown a clear propensity for doing exactly that - compromising on our Constitutionally-affirmed God-given rights, in a political manner no less!

    The "straw that broke the (my) camel's back" was/is NRA's stand on the Unconstitutional C.A.R.A. landgrab. I have read the bill. NONE of the nine points in it are authorized in the Constitution - including the one point of which NRA has testified to Congress in support (so-called "public lands" for shooting and hunting purposes, that are likely being used for just that in private hands now)!

    The primary purpose of the Supreme Law of the Land (the U.S. Constitution) is to guarantee God-given freedoms and rights from encroachment or infringement - by anyone, even our elected "government." Any law which would coercively take private property and convert it to "public" land, for the "good of society" or the "benefit of the majority" is SOCIALISTic and NOT commensurate with, or LAWFUL in, a Republican government - the only kind authorized in that Supreme Law of the Land. The NRA used to be strong on ALL Constitutionally-guaranteed rights. This has clearly degraded! It bears repeating: GOD-GIVEN FREEDOMS AND RIGHTS CANNOT BE COMPROMISED! Such is UNLAWFUL - to God's Law, ultimately. He bestows us with those rights, at birth, in order to lawfully (according to His Law) maintain the life he gave each and every one of us!

    Until the day that the NRA revisits, and changes, its position on compromise of rights, I WILL NOT BE A MEMBER IN ANY CAPACITY! Therefore, I hereby demand/state the following:

    • DO NOT send any more correspondence to me - it will be "Returned to Sender."

    • REMOVE my name and address from ALL NRA databases.

    • I have destroyed my membership card and will shortly be removing all NRA
        patches and insignia from my caps and clothing, being now ASHAMED of my
        prior 26-odd-years' membership!.

    • I have, months ago, stopped soliciting NRA membership on my Citizens Info website.
        This letter will be posted there, at http://storm.prohosting.com/~quickdra/NRAltr.html.
